| When Community Bank of the Ozarks,
Inc., was chartered on September 1st 1988, it started with $11
million in assets. The bank was organized and owned by B.G.
Benton, Robert B. Benton, Frank E. Wiles, Dennis Jones,
Steve Hutton and Stan Roth. This closely held corporation
was known as Community Bancshares of the Ozarks, Inc. Today
the Bank is over five times its original size and is looking
forward to passing on the tradition of independent banking
for many years to come. It is a State of Missouri and FDIC -
chartered organization and operates as an Independent
Community Bank with the main office in Sunrise Beach,
Missouri, on Lake of the Ozarks and a branch office in
Pleasant Hope, Missouri. Our current
